A Nursery in Clapham
An old office building was converted to provide about 100 children with nursery care space, pre-school and after school clubs.
Spaces were also created for parents to relax or exercise.
Advice and materials were provided to ensure child safety by use of high lever door handles, finger guards to the hinge side of the door, and an access control system to ensure access is restricted to those who need to be in the care areas.
Coloured nylon door handles were used to give a bright warm feel to the building.
The renewed building now boasts a resident artist to encourage the children’s creativity.
